PM-G13A Atmospheric low pressure plasma treatment machine is a portable device, it is just about 30 kg. This model with single nozzle for treatment width 35-80 mm. When using plasma , you can connect the nitrogen or compressed air according to your need. In general, compressed air can reach good effect for almost material. But for some particular material, nitrogen can get better effect. PM-G13A plasma treater can combine with conveyor to reach high productivity.

This model is hot sell for treatment the screen printing . When Cosmetic bottle printing word or printing pattern, it generally using curved screen printing. Because the bottles made of PP ,which is non-polar materials, this kind materials will make the light cured ink can not be attached firmly, so the surface of the PP bottle must be coarse treatment before the screen printing, to solve the problem of ink weakly attachment.

The conditions required for ink curing are various, such as the type of reflective cover on the surface layer, UV lamp power, use time, spectral wavelength range and other factors, these can affect the curing effect of UV ink, but the real decisive factor is the tension of the surface of the substrate, which is very important for the adhesion of UV ink.

In general, the surface tension of the substrate needs to reach more than 45 m N/m that can effectively attach the ink effectively, while the surface tension of the PP bottle is only 30 m N/m without plasma surface treatment. For the PP surface treatment method, it can be solved by grinding, wiping chemical, flame treatment, and plasma cleaning technology.

But the grinding method will damage the substrate; and the chemical will pollute the environment, violate environmental protection requirements. Although flame treatment can be widely used for the surface modification of PP, while here some disadvantage are also :

  1. Quality instability, because mostly they are using plasma treatment manually, the speed and distance can’t be controlled very well , the surface is easy to burn, overheating and quenching, it is difficult to achieve uniform quenching layer and high surface hardness.
  2. It is difficult to achieve mechanized production. It is high coat and has safety hazard.

After plasma treated , the PP surface tension can reach 58mN/m, it is far beyond the attachment requirements of UV ink on the surface tension of PP material that the ink can be firmly attached to the surface of the bottle.
