Today I’d share a success case about plasma process for nylon velcro (hook and loop).
In daily life, velcro (hook and loop) widely used, it can be used in clothing, shoes, gloves, toys, various military supplies, etc. The velcro consists of two parts, one part is shot hook and other part is hairy. In general , the back of the hook need bonding with other material. Most of glue can be bonding very well , but when glue meet some non-polar material which is low tension and energy, it will be meet degumming problem. So before bonding , it will relate plasma technology. Plasma can activate and modified no-polar material for reach high tension and energy.
After plasma treatment machine treated, the glue bonding strength between material surface and back of hook is improved. It is low temperature plasma treatment machine and no static electricity that won’t be damaged material surface and won’t harm for human body.
