GM-2000 Low Temperature Plasma Treatment Machine for Wire&Cable Inkjet Coding

GM-2000 plasma treatment machine is consist of plasma generator and one direct injection plasma nozzle. Plasma nozzle with three different size: 3-5 mm, 7-13 mm, 15-18 mm. We can also customize other types of nozzle for meet customer different needs. The plasma surface treatment machine of GM-2000 with panel power adjustment which is very convenient. It support the automatic control by the external signal for control plasma on and off.

Plasma technology is widely applied in wire and cable industry. The main components of the cable are inner core, shield, insulation layer and outer sheath. Most manufacturer of cable will make inkjet coding on the insulation layer which is make of PP, PE,PVC, HDPE and LDPE. These material’s surface is very smooth and low tension. When make the inkjet coding , the ink can’t be attach very well on the cable surface, the ink is easy to remove by friction. Some manufacturers try to change the ink ,but the problem still can’t be solved.

Plasma pre-treatment the cable prior to inkjet coding can improve the ink adhesion. There are some advantage about the plasma treatment cable

  1. Low- cost. Plasma treatment machine can be working by connecting the compressed air and power supply and you don’t need change your process and ink.
  2. Safety and Environment-friendly. Plasma is low temperature and no uncharged, it won’t be damaged material and won’t affect human body.
  3. Good adhesion. After plasma treated , the ink won’t be wiped from cable surface.

The plasma treatment machine need install in front of the printer. You can adjust the speed according to the plasma treatment effect. In general , the treatment speed is about 50-100 m/min when plasma cleaning the PE cable. But it also depend on the diameter of the cable. The speed is different from different cable material.
